Connect With Us at Edge Computing World 2021 This Week!

Veea is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of one of the largest, global, and most exciting edge events in the world this week. While the gathering is 100% virtual, the organizers of the event have done a tremendous job in taking the real time communications technology to the next level, by offering real time networking opportunities for quality interactions with prospective ecosystem partners, system integrators, enterprises, and influencers.

Here’s a run-down on our contributions this year. Please continue to follow us as we will be sharing announcements and more detail on our “view from the edge” this week.

WEDNESDAY

Extending and Scaling the Smart City Edge

Mark Tubinis, Chief Commercial Officer, Veea

Cities are dynamic, their needs are ever-changing. For many applications, an easily scaled, rapidly deployed edge platform provides a host of benefits. But what does a platform like that look like, and what are some of those specific benefits?

In this talk, Mark Tubinis will share his experiences as head of solutions delivery at Veea and his predictions for the future of edge-based smart city applications.

11:55 AM EDT/8:55AM PDT

Smart Cities & the Edge

Mark TubinisMark will take the virtual stage for a fireside chat along with Mark Wheeler, CIO, City of Philadelphia, Jeff DeCoux, Chairman, Autonomy Institute, Amit Midha, President, Asia Pacific & Japan, Global Digital Cities, Dell Technologies, and Dr. Christophe St Luce, Director of Information Technology, City of Venice, Florida.

Industry 4.0, climate change, population growth and migration to major urban centers, and many other factors are shaping our cities and societies around the globe. At Veea, we believe Smart Cities are the foundations of Smart Societies of the future. We enable developers to create a wide array of smart city solutions on our unified platform supporting edge connectivity, computing, and security, with ruggedized equipment and your choice of networking protocols –from LoRa to 5G NB-IoT and more.

Strategic Thinking and Production Execution at the Edge

William Hurley, Chief Revenue Officer, Veea

Many have been trying to build edge-driven solutions. According to Gartner, through 2022, 50% of edge computing solutions that worked as proofs of concept will fail to scale for production use. The focus has been on the technology, and many have been science projects. If Edge solutions are to be successful, they must start with meaningful business goals, stated early, and measured often.

In this keynote, Bill will provide real-world examples of what we have seen from the Veea Edge Platform perspective, and based on that, he will share his insights on what is needed for edge-driven digital transformation success.

3PM EDT/12PM PDT –3:30 PM EDT/12:30 PDT
