On August 26, 2026, Veea announced that its VHC25 VeeaHub® completed Totalplay’s technical qualification process and that the companies signed a collaboration agreement covering planned SecureConnect™ and VigiLynx™ services for Totalplay business customers in Mexico.

The milestone clears an important technical gate in the commercialization process and moves the relationship forward toward planned service availability.

Its broader significance is that Veea is advancing a common operator model across two different access environments in Mexico: 5G and fiber.

What the Totalplay milestone means

Technical qualification moves the Totalplay relationship beyond evaluation and clears an important technical requirement for the planned services.

For telecommunications operators, bringing a new managed service to market requires much more than determining whether a piece of hardware works. The technology has to fit into the operator’s network, cloud-management environment, security model, deployment processes and support operations.

Qualification establishes that a critical part of that work has been completed and allows the commercial program to continue progressing.

Why qualification matters

An operator cannot simply add a sophisticated edge platform to its catalog.

Hardware, software, connectivity, security, cloud management, support processes and deployment behavior all need to operate together within the operator’s environment before a service can move toward broad commercial availability.

Technical qualification, sometimes referred to as homologation, confirms that the platform has cleared a required technical gate. Commercial packaging, pricing, operational preparation, billing and customer activation are additional parts of the commercialization process.

Much of this work happens long before it becomes visible to the end customer.

One platform across 5G and fiber

The significance of the Totalplay relationship becomes clearer when viewed alongside Veea’s broader operator progress in Mexico.

Telcel represents a 5G-based operator path that has progressed into commercial launch and customer billing. Totalplay represents a fiber-based operator path that has now completed VHC25 technical qualification.

VHC25 qualification shows that Veea’s underlying platform can clear the required technical process in a second major operator environment without requiring an entirely different architecture. Commercial and operational preparation for the planned Totalplay services remains a separate part of the process.

Veea’s commercialization framework follows five stages:

Different operator programs can occupy different stages at the same time. Totalplay’s latest milestone represents another program moving forward within that model.

Connectivity as the entry point

The commercial opportunity begins with a shift in how the business location is viewed.

Connectivity does not have to be the finished product.

A modern business location may depend on broadband, Wi-Fi, payment systems, cameras, sensors, cybersecurity, cloud applications and connected equipment. Those systems are often introduced separately, adding infrastructure, management overhead and operational complexity.

A customer can begin with secure connectivity and cybersecurity and then add video intelligence, IoT monitoring, automation and local AI as requirements evolve.

Why Totalplay is a logical fit

Totalplay already operates a managed-services business. Its portfolio includes networking, cybersecurity, cloud, communications and related enterprise services, while its UNNO offering provides virtualized network functions including SD-WAN, firewall and PBX.

That existing model is important because the planned Veea services can extend the managed-services relationship deeper into the business location.

Within Veea’s platform portfolio, SecureConnect adds managed connectivity and cybersecurity. VigiLynx extends that environment to cameras, sensors, operational intelligence and local automation. These are the services Veea and Totalplay are planning to bring to Totalplay business customers.

Totalplay also brings meaningful operating scale. The company reported approximately 5.7 million subscribers as of the second quarter of 2026, including more than 68,000 SMB customers. Its fiber network passed approximately 19.5 million homes and businesses at the end of 2025.

Those figures should not be interpreted as Veea customers. They demonstrate the scale of the customer base, operating infrastructure and distribution capability through which new managed services could potentially be introduced.

That is one of the advantages of an operator-led route to market.

Where local AI becomes a managed service

Secure connectivity is one layer of the opportunity. The next is intelligence at the business location.

Local AI becomes commercially useful when it can securely interact with cameras, sensors, equipment and operational data where events actually occur.

VigiLynx brings cameras, sensors, incidents, operational data and remote management into the same edge environment. Optional Edge AI compute can be added when more advanced local inferencing is required.

The value is not merely running an AI model. The larger challenge is deploying, securing, managing, updating and supporting intelligent services across many customer locations.

A business might use the same managed environment to secure its network, monitor cameras and sensors, detect operational events, generate alerts and run local AI when the use case requires it.

That is what begins to turn local AI from a technical capability into a managed business service.

What comes next

Technical qualification is meaningful because it moves the Totalplay program forward.

With that step complete, the focus shifts to the commercial and operational work required to bring the planned services to market.
